Healing Grief This Lent:
Journal Through the Seven Sorrows
A space to lean on faith, find comfort, and heal together.
The Things No One Talks About
You think you know grief, until it happens to you.
No one talks about the guilt, the loneliness, and the overwhelm. You feel like you are on a timeline where the end goal keeps moving.
You have a strong faith but question what you did to deserve this? How could God allow this to happen?
You have an illogical fear of dying or others around you dying.
How it works:
- We focus on the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady
- We talk about our pain, sadness, and guilt
- We meet once a week in a zoom meeting
- There is a workbook for reflection in between meetings
- Meetings are recorded if you can’t make it live
Let’s do Lent differently.
Before: overwhelmed, crying uncontrollably, yelling at others around you, shutting down and spending excessive amounts of time scrolling on phone, feeling alone, feeling like no one understands you, every emotion feels like an intense wave, walking in a fog,
After: present with those around you, hopeful, can think of your loved one with fondness, less crying, able to open up to those around you to express what you need, rekindle friendships and relationships, a deeper leaning on Christ
